Prior to launching Raise & Shine, Lisa served as the Chief Development Officer at Kiva for 8 years where she led the fundraising and external communications teams. While there, she developed unique consumer and employee engagement programs with corporations, foundations, and individuals to engage new lenders on the Kiva.org platform, and she created a new giving vehicle to tap into the growing Donor Advised Fund market. Prior to Kiva, Lisa was the Chief Development Officer at Room to Read, overseeing a global team and an army of volunteers responsible for raising $30+ million annually, as well as managing global marketing and PR. She also worked as the Director of Development for The Food Project, and served as a Development Officer for The Nature Conservancy's Asia Pacific Program, where she first learned the art and science of individual major gifts fundraising.

She brings the experience of having done it all – or most of it – from growing fundraising for scaling organizations, building systems and processes, developing leadership boards, hiring teams and coaching organizational leaders on how to ensure those teams are successful. She understands the opportunities you face and the pressure that comes along with fundraising because she has been there herself!
